about kayla and her project

This is Charlie, the now playful snd happy 2-year-old doggie.

Kayla Wagonfeld is thirteen years old and lives with her parents, two brothers and her dog in Hillsborough, California. She attends the Nueva School and in her free time, she likes biology, art, baking, rock climbing, playing with her dog, Charlie, and spend time with her family.
Kayla's passion for helping dogs started when she got over her fear of dogs and puppies and convinced her parents to adopt a rescue dog named Charlie. Charlie is two years old, and he is very happy living with the people he now loves. But it wasn't always that way. When Kayla and her family adopted Charlie when he was 5 months old, he was just rescued from wandering around the streets of Marin -- alone, cold, and famished.
Charlie's story opened up Kayla's eyes to helping dogs have a second chance. Charlie's story has led her to believe that with a little effort from the people around them any dog can have that second chance and live the full lives they were born to live.
Her year-long recital project demonstates this passion, as she is trying her best to help dogs find owners who love them. Kayla will be working with Wonder Dog, an organization that helps save dogs on the verge of being put to sleep. Wonder Dog brings these innocent dogs back to the Bay Area to be able to start over with a new family to love them. Many of these dogs have medical ailments from living in a hurtful environment -- these health issues need to be cured in order for the dog to be able to find a deserving home. The challenge is finding the money to treat these dogs so they can continue living their lives in a happy and loving environment.
Kayla is raising money by selling pupcakes, to help a specific dog be cured, and pay for the medication for its disease. Without a barrier such as sickness, the dog will be able to be adopted and into a loving and deserving home, which is the destiny of every dog and puppy. With your help by bying pupcakes, she will be able to raise money to help one dog get cured, and more in the future. Together, we can save our four legged citizens!
